Hi Daniel,
It is great reading your blogs. My class found it very interesting that you had a bat outside of your window! It has been raining all week here and my students are ready to get outside and run. Sounds like your going to have a great weekend watching football with you dad and brother. You have such a wonderful, loving family --You are the greatest!!!

Well Daniel I've never replied to anyones blog. Maybe I can still learn a trick or two. We'll see if what they say about old dogs is true. Hey I can gain 2 1/2 pounds in a day I think only takes one meal. So glad you are up and doing some things. I saw a flock of about 30 turkeys today in of all places Charlton Green. Whoa!!!!. Love you guys. Hope to see you soon. Juanita Murrey

I hope you had a good day. I am proud of your mom for handling your coughing spell so well. She will make a great nurse when you get home. Hope you are enjoying your classroom time. A lot of people at Page are asking Jacob about you. He keeps them informed. Keep eating!!
Love you, Julie F.

Daniel,
Just had to tell you what Ashley did tonight at her house, she prepared a delicious supper - meatloaf, mashed potatoes, pinto beans not out of can, velvetta shells, and corn bread muffins - hurry home and maybe she will cook for you. Give Mom and JeanJean a hug for us. Love Debie, Scooty, Ashley, Justin & Jenny

Daniel-

2 1/2 pounds! That's awesome!! I hear your mom is practically a doctor now, she's learned so much.

Since it looks like you won't be home until a bit after Halloween, I guess you could use some candy, huh? You know, purely to help you gain a little more weight:)

We miss you. See you soon, though!

Hi Daniel,
I don't know if you remember me or not, but we used to attend Epworth (when you were much younger!)You may remember my daughter, Stephanie. I've been friends of your mom and dad for a long time. I'm keeping up with you and your family through Miss Jessica and Debbie White. Glad to know you have a blogspot now. I'm so proud of your mom for being such a great nurse/or is it doctor now???:) I know you are in great hands...that is a wonderful hospital. I used to teach teachers in Cincinnati! If mom or jeanjean get to make a restaurant run, tell them to go to Mike Finch's restaurant(on the river) and bring you back some food! It's very good!!!! It's sure to put on a few pounds more!Take care and hope you are back in Tennessee real soon....I didn't think that I would ever get to say this, but bring your rowboat...it's still raining!!!!

Good Morning Daniel!!

Hope you had a good night's sleep!! Yes, your mom and probably you, could set up an office somewhere and take patients!! Y'all are learning so much!! Didn't know if you knew the girl's volleyball team at Page is playing today in Murfreesboro. They have had a really good season and have made it to the state finals. I let Matt and Will skip school and go - don't know if that was a good idea or not, but it will be great for the girls to have a lot of fans there to cheer them on!! Have a good day Daniel!
Much love,
Miss Miriam

Hello, Daniel!
It is so good to hear the encouraging reports that get emailed to us regularly. I'm trying to pass on the news to teachers here who taught you and are interested in how well you're doing. I'm enjoying getting to know Gatlin this year. He's doing a good job of keeping me updated, too. I can tell that he can hardly wait for you and your mom to get home. Keep up the eating, the working out, etc. so you can get back to Tennessee. We miss you!

Hey Daniel, so glad to hear that you are gaining some weight, I have about 100 extra pounds that I can give you!!! I wanted to tell you about how I have scared Baylor all week. We are having our annual Halloween Bash this Saturday and I have been pranking him with all my props all week. He came home one night and I was hinding in the shower dressed up like a Troll when he threw back the shower curtains I popped out and he screamed the loudest, girliest scream ever and ran out, then he finally showered and I was waiting in his room dressed up in this ole lady mask and I was tucked under his bed and he came in singing one of his High School Musical songs and didnt see me until he turned around and he screamed even louder then he did in the shower. Then that morning he gets up to go to school and goes to fix his cerel and I had put a charred foot and bloody hand in the fridge, then he poured his cerel and I had put a bunch of plastic roaches in the box and he got so grossed out that he started to vomit, he went to the bathroom and I had hind a head in the toliet the night before and had even forgot about it myself and he lifts the lid and screams even louder then he did before. He said that he cant wait til Halloween is over, Alec and I are having too much fun scaring him. We wish so bad that you could come to our party. I will take some good pictures and maybe even a video that we could send you....I have some real good things in store for Baylor at the party...maybe I can catch them on tape and send it to you. We love and miss you Daniel....hang in for a little longer and you will be home soon.
Go TITIANS

Hi, Daniel,
I'm like Juanita. I've never written in a blog before either. I've been keeping up with your progress through Penny Vaughan's e-mails. I'm so glad you will be coming home soon. After all of the dry weather this summer, it feels like we may need an ark this week. It's been raining pretty steady. Take care. Root for the Rockies. They are definitely the underdogs in the Series. Colin has been wrestling at school. No one has made him into a pretzel yet. Love,
Lynn, Dusty, and Colin Rhoades

Hi Daniel, I am so pleased that you are doing so well. We have you on our prayer request at church. I have been receiving emails of your progress. The Lacy's are also friends of mine. Them and your grandparents (Jean and Stant) and I went to Friendship church together for many years. They are dear friends and I know you are happy to have them. Enjoy the weekend with Gatlin watching the games. Tell all your family hello. Keep smiling. Love, Shirley/Jim Robert

hey, Daniel "I'll shoot anything that flies" Jones, enough already about gaining weight. I've just gained three pounds just sitting here reading your blogs. What's really important is that it is almost Halloween and I don't know what to do for a costume this year. I hear you're going as some kind of super-hero-stud-macho man and your mom is going as a hot young nurse :) Oh, I forgot, that's your everyday look. Sorry.

So, back to me...enough about you...what should I be? I need some help here, okay? Get yourself some more of those good "herbs" and get to thinkin'. And if you tell me to go as a leprachan, a munchkin from the wizard of oz or mini me I will come up there and, well, it won't be good for you. Hospital, shmozpital. I'll get you my pretty.

I have to go get my beauty rest now (I need lots you know). I know you're probably some kind of rock star up there now, but we can't wait to have you back here. Besides, they made me taller when I had my back surgery and I can't wait for you to see how tall I am!

love ya,
Dawn (a.k.a. "momagoose")

Keep up the good work; we all look forward to a few weeks into the future when we can see your smile in person.
You are in my prayers every day.

Hey Daniel man,

It was great to get an update on what has been going on with you. Glad you are doing better, and I'm with Janie Jefferson, I gained at least 2 1/2 lbs last week, and it wasn't even my birthday!!!

I have been traveling a lot lately, the last few weeks I have been in TX. VA(twice), MD, NC, TN and, KY. Next week I go to NY for a couple of days then I am home a week and then off to CO and UT for the week! Whew, I get tired just thinking about it.

Keep us posted on what's going on and give our best to the rest of our family, and you keep making progress so you can get home to put a smile everyone's face.

As Deb said, GO RED SOX!!

Take care,

Wendell Franke

Hey everybody, I was excited to see Gatlin. Within a few minutes we were wrestling and mom was afraid my trach was going to pop out. She just laughed:) We had dinner as a family Friday and Saturday nights. We are getting ready to watch the Bengals and Steelers play ball. This will be a good game. You know how they act when they come to the Titan's stadium. Gatlin and I went to the teen room and shot pool. We also did some art activities. I've been sleeping better! Gatlin says I've been eating like a gorilla.
Thanks for blogging me.
