Keep praying...

Hey everybody, I was not happy when I left the OR Tues. I have a long trach that sticks out like a pipe and I don't have a voice. Dr. Wood is ordering a smaller one but it will take 5-6 weeks to get here. I slept off and on until 2 o'clock today. I was in isolation because I have an infection in my trach. My oxygen dropped last night but is up today. I am feeling better. Mom made it through the 24 hour care now Dad has his turn:) We are waiting to hear from home health care so I can come home. I hope it will be soon!!!!!! They are nice here but I am tired of it.
Thanks for blogging and keep praying,
Daniel Man

Here's a poem that I've written for you.

Daniel Man

Off to Cinncinati our friend
Daniel went.

Surrounded in love, by all the
prayers we sent.

One step forward and two steps
back,

Progress has been slow, but
courage he did not lack.

Daniel Man, you're like a prize
fighter making his weight.

Your friends all miss you in the
Volunteer State.

The nurses and doctors all love
our friend.

But we want him home and on the
mend.

The goal is near, don't give up
the fight!

You'll be home soon, led by
God's light.

Blessings,
Debbie Temple

Hey everybody, it rained here all day. My little buddy, 5 year old Manny, lives here at the hospital. We walked outside and he heard and felt the rain for the first time. This afternoon a new friend, MacKenzie and her family came to visit us. We went to the teen room and I played pool with her brother then we went to the cafeteria for ice cream.
What happened to the Titans today?
The Bengals beat the Ravens.
My infection is getting better and my trachea isn't as sore. I'm ready to go to bed. Hope to see you soon.
Thanks for blogging and keep praying,
Daniel Man

Hello!
This morning before I could even mention you at church, the one leading the prayer asked for an update on Daniel. We have had a prayer for you each week. In PromiseLand (Children's worship) Rex has the kids pray for you every week, too. When you get home, I hope you can come to meet the kids one day. There is over 100 kids!
Did Gatlin tell you that Wade got a deer 2 wks ago? We have already eaten it for 2 meals. He got quails yesterday, so we had those for supper last night!
Tonight, we came in from church about 9 p.m. and we looked down in the woods and there was a fire... Quick's dog house was on fire! Wade was afraid that he was dead because his house was completely on fire with huge flames. You know the pen is at the edge of the woods, so it was pretty scary! Rex contained the fire with the hose. He let the house finish burning to get rid of the mess. It has been over 2 hours and he is still working on it. The dog was at the gate of the pen safe from the fire and when they let him out, he ran to the garage and has not come out. I guess we will have to build him a new home.
I know the story was long, but I know you like to hear adventures. I hope we don't have any more to share.
Wade goes to Vanderbilt tomorrow to have more tests and see his doctor.
We love you!
Gwen
